the premise
Every role sees a different truth.
SIGNAL//LOST is an asymmetric cooperative browser mystery for two to six players. Every operator connects to the same station, but the server exposes different evidence to each role.
ORPHEUS-17 is an abandoned deep-space communications station transmitting again after eleven years. Precise communication, disputed records and decisions under uncertainty form the core of every session.

design principles
Cooperation begins where certainty ends.
Asymmetric roles
Every role contributes evidence and abilities that no other role can replace.
Server authority
Only the server changes the canonical state and generates separate views for the players.
Explicit contradictions
Incompatible information comes from scenario rules, not from arbitrary random lies.
Consequential decisions
Checks cost time or resources; the server alone computes the result.
technology
Shared perception. One canonical state.

roadmap
From protocol boot to local acceptance.
Protocol Boot
Repository foundation, public interface, protocol boundary and a deterministic C03 vertical slice.
First Contact
Invite-based lobby, WebSocket sessions, two roles and a locally accepted C03 mini round.
Contradiction
Canonical world model, projection rules, event persistence and safe reconnect.
Station Systems
Six roles, distinct interfaces, station resources and a shared Evidence Board.
Current status: there is no public server and no published release yet.
