I run infrastructure and build tools for everyday IT work.

I’m Oskar, the IT systems administrator behind OeXYZ. I focus on Linux, virtualization, networks and automation, and put what I learn into my open-source projects.

network diagnostics

SocketScope

An open port tells you little on its own. I built a local inspector that connects TCP and UDP endpoints with processes, services, containers and relevant local firewall rules.

See which process listens on a port and what local evidence says about its reachability. The tool only reads data and never changes firewall rules.

From open port to process: the listener view brings local evidence together.

cooperative browser game

SIGNAL//LOST

How do you build a cooperative puzzle that nobody can solve alone? I’m developing a browser mystery where two to six players investigate the same station, each with different evidence.

Separate views and role-specific clues make communication part of the puzzle. I document the prototype and its development in the devlog.

profile

From running systems to building tools.

I work with Proxmox, Linux, Windows Server and networks, including firewalls, backups and Checkmk monitoring. I automate recurring tasks with Python and REST APIs.

My own projects let me explore other problems: making local network state understandable, using Minecraft without a game renderer, or building cooperative browser puzzles. I publish the source code and document my decisions.
